You know, the first one I’ve got is actually pretty similar to one I’ve already got planned. Similar.
'A tragic story set in a magical realm starring an anti-hero with a need for justice.'
Actually, I’ve got two, and this is somewhat similar to both, actually.
The first one I had planned was given wings, but never flew, and it WAS set in a magical realm, but that’s where all the similarities end, actually. Not to mention that the elemental magic idea of it was kind of like Avatar: The Last Airbender anyways.
But there is one story I’m writing more seriously, and being more careful with the planning of, so that it’ll be given wings that’ll actually work properly and enable it to fly.
I plan it to be angsty and heart-wrenching rather than tragic, because I love ‘happy endings’, but I plan to have you guessing as to how the ending’ll pan out until the very end. But it is a very dark story, but also one of hope.
I don’t know about it being a magical realm. It’s be set in some city in Japan, wether I make it up or not, and there’ll be heroes fighting back an infectious darkness trying to take over the world.
Oh yeah, he is definately an anti-hero. A need for justice? Thanks! I was having a bit of trouble with long-term motivation for him. I can’t pin his entire motivation on saving a little girl he owes for the entire story. That’d be just a bit too shallow. I need to make it personal. That’s when I’ll need to introduce the bad guys.
